  • Kaivalyadhama Yoga Institute organizes Yoga classes for students of BMC schools

    Mumbai  : Kaivalyadhama Yoga Institute has conducted yoga classes in 11 BMC schools as per BMC Education department approved letter dated: 14th September, 2015 PI/645. All classes were started as per school’s convenience after Diwali vacation. Total 963 students attended the classes at the BMC schools 20160118_172444till date.

    The names of the schools are, Colaba Madhyamic, N. M. Joshi Marg Madhyamic, Byculla (E) Madhyamic, Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar Worli, Goshala Madhyamic, Mulund, Sant Kakaya Marg, Dharavi, Marol Prarthamic, Andheri, Vile Parle Sanyas Aashram, K. D. Gaikwad Prarthamic, Sion Koliwada, Kavle Math, Banganga and G. K. Madhyamic School, Lower Parel.

    The Yoga Classes for 5 schools were completed by respective teachers from ICYHC, Kaivalyadhama Mumbai under YEF (Yoga Education Fund) activities of Kaivalydhama Lonavla Ashram.  Yoga classes are going in the remaining 6 schools.

    Commenting on the same Mr. Subodh Tiwari, Chief Executive Officer, Kaivalyadhama Yoga Institute; said, “Yoga acts as a catalyst and unravels the many wonderful qualities that children possess. Apart from the apparent physical benefits, it helps the child become aware and focused. We are very happy that the BMC schools have decided to teach yoga to students at their schools.”

    Inculcating the habit of yoga from very young is perhaps the ideal way to achieve balance in the mind-body-soul realm. Holistic health, which includes prevention of diseases by improving the thought pattern, regulating the energy flow in the body and realizing the divine within. The foundation of holistic health can be achieved through regular practice of yoga for children’s at Schools. The feedback we have received through teachers is that the student’s yoga program is beneficial in maintaining the physical as well as mental health.
