Travel with the speed of light to reach the many corners in the Universe or we could close our eyes and tune in to any corner of the Universe and its core – the red molten lava and dark blue recesses that feeds our souls quest for life truth.

Right now, when we sleep, knowing that our body needs rest and that our mind is tired and we need to shut our eyes…for that calm, that peace, that quiet. We never completely articulate this. Many research studies produce scientific evidence on the nature of brain activity as we sleep, and this research leads to identifying  sleep problems – sleep apnea to insomnia. Imagine, if the night that we often dread as the loneliest time, as a time of disconnection was the very reverse. A time instead, when the connection with the unexplored entity that birthed us all was reaching out to us, to reinvent and nourish us, to let the battery be unplugged and get back on DC – Direct Connect, a recharge from the Universal energy.

Dream interpretations link our daily life to the world of the unknown. We see people we have not met in ages…we see dead relatives and friends; we see nightmares and we see our desires. Somehow the dream and its world appear real. Scientists even observe body movements as our senses react to the realities that our asleep brain is creating through automatic neural activity. Few people write down their dreams, but we all feel a little nagging sense sometimes of a grief or joy in store in near future and sometimes in the distant future.  We know of some people out there in our world who can predict what life has in store for you by reading your palm, your birth chart, your face, your aura, or looking at a glass ball, or picture cards.

Most of us used to exist in a space where the reality of our inevitable death does not foreshadow our life or our living experiences beyond a point. Our busy stressful routine kept the unknown at bay. Right now, those with a sense of religiosity and spirituality might be feeling less lost and lonely as our current experience put perspective on our pursuits and underlines our short time here on Mother Earth. Now is the right time to start finding a balance in our daily life. Try it. Meditate. You will see things more clearly.

The basis of most meditational practices past and new is the breath. Focus on your breath. In all Hindu scriptures related to meditation, the breath is the connecting cord between life and lack of life. The prana exists because we breathe and when prana leaves, the breath stops. This breath is the air that exists on earth, you leave the bounds of earth and go far enough into the antariksh and you cannot breathe. The body cannot survive without the breath there. When you are consciously breathing, it slows automatically, as your focus shifts, the anxiety dissolves, and a sense of calm takes over.

We don’t have the luxury to throng the gym but web and tv offer multiple Gurus who share their unique connection with the Gods and Goddess and their take on the Universe. She, the Goddess, the Enchanting Universe and her manifestations, who becomes theirs – of the devotees’, she belongs to them…but not to them alone. Because the same form or manifestation of the Goddess can be “Siddh” to many a saint, a sadhu, a guru. How fascinating that this energy of the Universe can thus manifest itself in multiple locations with multiple human entities. Even those of us who were not regulars to praying and who vacillate between strong beliefs and doubts – the connection can be felt sporadically. In fact, we might almost be feeling one with our God and Goddess, when a local soul connection with something dear to us on this earth draws us back into the many threads of relationships. The body to survive weakens the thread of awareness of the bigger picture, our connection with the Universe through the Gods and the Goddess.

But once the thread of connection is revealed, does it never break…how is that possible? The prana that manifests in all living things is the same. The only difference is in the capacity of us as souls in being able to experience the prana, to explore the divinity of the prana. As our fight to live becomes focused on the breath in our body, the consciousness of Prana as you…with or without the body is essential. Fix your mind on the consciousness of your permanent connection, when fear takes over, remember that the Prana – is you. It is eternal. It is indestructible. It is Krishna living with you and as you.
