Congress General Secretary Rahul Gandhi on Friday said that some opposition parties in Parliament are blocking the Land Acquisition bill but it will be passed.

Rahul was talking to farmers about impediments in the passing of the new land law in view of objections raised by opposition.

The Congress leader said, the National Advisory Council (NAC) and the government were both discussing the law.

Rahul sought to appeal to the self respect of the people of the state urging them to work for the development of the state like what the migrants from the state are doing in other states.

As a part of his five day people’s contact programme in UP, he addressed a rally in Dumriaganj today.

On the fourth day of his tour, Rahul Gandhi also addressed rallies in Bansi, Farinda, Paniar and Nowgarh in Northern UP.
