In Lebanon, the National Unity government collapsed on Wednesday evening after 11 ministers of opposition Hezbollah and its allies resigned. According to Naharnet news agency, Energy Minister Gibran Bassil said the decision was prompted by a dispute over the UN tribunal investigating former Prime Minister Rafik Hariri’s murder.
