  • LSAT—India exam date announced, scores accepted at over 50 law colleges

    Mumbai: The examination date for the Law School Admission Test—India has been announced. The reasoning-based test will be conducted on 18th May, 2014 in 16 cities. More than 50 prestigious law institutions now recognise the scores as one of the admissions criteria. These include Rajiv Gandhi School Of Intellectual Property Law IIT Kharagpur Law School, The Jindal Global Law School, UPES Dehradun, Galgotia University Law School Greater Noida, KLE Bangalore and Amity Law School, Gurgaon.

    Many renowned colleges such as Alliance University law school – Bangalore, Noida International University – Greater Noida and Sharda University Greater Noida will now accept LSAT—India scores for admissions to their 2014 batches.

    The test, which is created by the global non-profit Law School Admission Council (LSAC), assesses critical-thinking, logical reasoning, problem-solving skills and traits that are needed for successful law practitioners.

    Dan Bernstine, President, LSAC, said: “The feedback we have received from colleges regarding students selected using LSAT—India is very encouraging and we are delighted to see that more colleges than ever are acknowledging the benefits of this prestigious test.”

    Fiona Collins, Vice-President, Market Development, Pearson VUE India, added: “The LSAT—India exam offers the flexibility to apply to any of the associated colleges with a single test, and this feature has been rated highly by the candidates. The exam continues to be an important, relevant way for colleges to determine the most suitable law study applicants.”
