  • Max Super Specialty Hospital – Delhi in association with Indian Society of Critical Care Medicine ,Gwalior, organises CME Program

    Madhya Pradesh: Theme: Recent Advances in Intervention & Pediatric Cardiology & Neuro Surgery. Senior Doctors from Max Super Specialty Hospital New Delhi, Dr Sandeep Vaishya, Dr Viveka Kumar and Dr Viresh Mahajan conducted a CME (Continuous Medical Education) workshop on Recent Advances in Intervention & Pediatric Cardiology & Neuro Surgery today at Gwalior. The event was organised in association with Indian Society of Critical Care Medicine (ISCCM), Gwalior, which was attended by leading doctors from MP and other nearby states.

    Dr Sandeep Vaishya, Head of Department – Neuro Surgery, Max Healthcare also provided free consultation to the people of Gwalior and nearby areas at Kalyan Hospital.

    The aim and mission of holding a CME at this scale was not only to showcase the academics but also to address and talk about various aspects of medical advancement. The team of doctors from Max Healthcare presented there thoughts on Management of Common Congenital Heart Diseases, New Horizons in the field of Interventional Cardiology in 2011 and Modern Trends in Neuro Surgery.

    Dr Sandeep Vaishya, Head of Department – Neuro Surgery, Max Healthcare, said, “Over the years, there has been a tremendous change in the field of neurology. Neurosurgically treatable diseases are now diagnosed and referred in good time. Many ancillary diagnostic facilities are now available and the patients themselves are aware of the need to seek early neurological consultation. Though the centres of excellence are based in the major metropolitan cities of the country, access to these services is easier than before. Assimilation and application of technological advances has been at such a rapid rate that many centres in India are at par with similar ones abroad”.

    The CME indeed served as a highly fruitful forum where doctors from across the region gathered to share their achievements & experiences.
