  • Mumbai Traffic Police get “SUMMER MEIN SUKOON”

    Published on June 17, 2019

Mumbai : With the scorching summer afternoon and managing the heavy traffic flow, the city’s traffic police bear the incessant vehicle honking, wiping off the sweat to ensure a safe and smooth ride for everyone. With a view to provide ‘Summer mein Sukoon’ to the city’s traffic police, ABZORB- the popular anti-fungal powder launched a campaign in Mumbai’s high traffic areas engaging with many traffic policemen across the city.

The campaign was aimed at addressing heat & sweat issues faced by traffic police especially during the summer season when temperatures touch record high levels with an increased percentage of humidity in the atmosphere. The traffic in the city has been breaking all records owing to the on-going infrastructural developments taking place at various locations.

The unique initiative had canter vans of ABZORB, a product of Sun Pharma’s consumer healthcare division, placed at major traffic signals/circles. These vans were stationed at specific places for traffic police and they were counselled with tips to stay hydrated, manage sweat and remain protected from the fungal infections, which are rampant during summers. The vans were placed at various locations in in Mumbai, majorly focusing on high traffic zones, which included, Andheri East, Andheri West, Vile Parle junction, Santacruz, Malad, Ghatkopar, Jogeswari East, Kurla etc.

A traffic policeman placed at Ma Seth School, Andheri, welcomed this initiative and said, “It is great to have something like this happening for the traffic police. This is the first time that I saw an initiative of this sort here in this area. It surely helped in relieving stress and beating the heat & sweat.”

According to a TomTom Traffic Index 2018 released recently by TomTom, Mumbai’s traffic is the worst in the world with Mumbai given the tag of ‘Most Traffic Congested City’. The other Indian city part of the world’s 10 worst cities affected by traffic is Delhi at number 4. The impact of the traffic congestion falls directly on the traffic police who manage movement of vehicles all throughout the day.

ABZORB Anti-Fungal Powder is over-the-counter (OTC) product of Sun Pharma Consumer Healthcare (CHC), a division of Sun Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd.
