  • Odisha govt prepares 1,238 crore reconstruction plan for flood affected areas

    Odisha Government has chalked out a reconstruction plan for the flood affected areas of the State. Following advise of the Central team that visited the flood ravaged areas, Government has prepared an action plan to be executed within 45 days.

    Special Relief Commisioner Pradipta Kumar Mohapatra said an amount of 1238 Crore rupees has been estimated to be spent on this plan. It includes constructions of concrete roads in 3000 odd villages that were marooned during the recent flood.

    The action plan also includes construction of houses for those who have lost it due to devastating flood. Chief Minister Naveen Pattanaik will monitor the progress on a daily basis. A three level supervising committee has been set up to monitor the quality of the work as well as to maintain transparency.
