  • Online preparation content for students sitting for medical exam on May 5

    Published on March 28, 2013

Mumbai : May 5, 2013 is the date on which three lakh medical aspirants will collectively sit for the National Eligibility Entrance Test (NEET) NEET (common entrance test for admission to MBBS courses across the country). NEET is the single entry point to almost all government and private medical colleges in India. In 2012, just 12% of the 2.5 lakh candidates were successful, and 2013 will see increased competition for the same.

Balancing Physics, Chemistry, Botany and Zoology syllabuses, and answering 180 multiple-choice questions in the allotted three hours, is immense pressure for these aspiring doctors. At under a minute per question, students need to be on top of their game to be able to complete the exam, and complete it well, with no margin for error. Students eligible for the test would have just completed their Class 12 exams, leaving them just enough time to revise for NEET.

Attano, India’s largest store for interactive educational eBooks, has addressed this challenge and partnered with ENTRANCEi to launch a comprehensive ultimate interactive revision package for students considering NEET 2013.

The package comprises nine interactive eBooks, covering Physics, Chemistry, Botany and Zoology. There are chapter highlights and tests for each subject, followed by subject-level tests (one per subject), and one complete mock examination, which simulates the actual test that students will finally appear for. Students across the country preparing for this competitive exam can download the Ultimate Revision Pack for NEET on their laptop/ PC or a tablet of their choice. Post downloading the students can access and prepare in an offline mode as well.

Soumya Banerjee, CEO, Attano, says, “There is a logical progression to how the Attano Ultimate Revision Packs are structured. They take into account not only how students learn, but the environment in which learning takes place as well. So information is presented in bite-sized chunks with a gradual build-up. Our packages are interactive, giving you instant scores which are available online and offline. Students who choose Attano are choosing to study smart.”

Navin C Joshi, CEO, ENTRANCEi, says, “Given that students have 180 questions to be solved in three hours, plasticising time management by taking mock tests is a must. Also, CBSE is going to be conducting NEET and the revision theory we have given for each chapter gives comprehensive coverage of the same. There are some differences in the CBSE syllabus for Class 11 and 12 compared to NEET and our pack has been designed to help the student optimally. We are confident that we can help any student boost his/her All India Rank (AIR) in NEET significantly.
