  • Oxford Group and Siemens won the final regional round of the TAKE Solutions World Corporate Golf Challenge at Pune

    Pune :  At the third and final regional round of the TAKE Solutions World Corporate Golf GolfChallenge at Pune, teams from Oxford Group and Infosys took the top two spots on the first day. Oxford Group, represented by Rohan Seolekar and VT Date finished with team score of 73 points. Charanjeet Bedi and Aditya of Infosys, winners of last year’s Pune leg, returned as runners-up with 67 points.

    The valley and mountains of the Sahayadri range provided the perfect setting for two days of fine golfing with the teams from Siemens and Websym taking home the top two prizes on day two. While both teams finished with a tied score of 65 points, team Siemens, represented by Sachin Gangal and Prakash Tolani took the top spot on the strength of their combined handicap, with Sushant Khosla and Unmesh Bhathija of team Websym coming in second.

    The four teams from this round qualify for a spot in the National Finals to be held in May in Malaysia, with a chance to represent India at the World Finals to be held at Oitavos Dunes Golf Course in Cascais, Portugal from 30 June to 5 July 2015.

    Australia’s batsman, Glenn Maxwell, part of the Kings XI Punjab IPL team and two-time European tour winner SSP Chowrasia were the star attractions at the two day round on 18th and 19th at the Oxford Golf & Country Club, Pune.

    Srinivasan HR, Vice Chairman & Managing Director, TAKE Solutions said, “I am happy to announce that we have completed all three regional rounds of the tournament and are set to move to the National Rounds. The bar has been raised in terms of quality of the competition and players, this year.
