  • Paper Wand Presentation Contest among School Children

    Guru Arjan Dev Institute of Development Studies, Amritsar is organizing two days 7th IDSAsr National Seminar on the theme Recycling of Waste Water and Reuse System, which is to be considered as an integrated ecosystem oriented protocol on November 25-26,2016. All interested are requested to submit their papers before October 2016 end.

    Dr Gursharan Singh Kainth the organizing secretary of the seminar and Director of the host institute disclosed that the Seminar will be held in the conference hall of Guru Nanak Auditorium, Guru Nanak Dev University, Amritsar. The seminar is being partially sponsored by Department of Bio technology (DBT) of Government of India added Dr Kainth.
    Dr Kainth further disclosed that nearly 30 papers will be discussed at the two days seminar to be attended by more than hundred scientists, scholars, Policy makers & administrators , Technocrats from various parts of India and abroad.
    Dr Kainth further added that the seminar will help raising awareness among various stakeholders and initiate action to chalk out a way towards strong policies and legal framework to maximize the utilization of water in our life.
    Added feature of this year seminar is that to create awareness about this valuable natural resource (WATER) among the up growing generation, paper writing and presentation contest has been also planned added Dr Kainth
    The theme of the contest is Recycling of Waste Water and Reuse System. It will consist of two parts – writing andpresentation. Students can contribute original paper in any of the language – English/Punjabi/Hindi. Student should be in the age group of 14 to 17 yrs and enrolled in any of the school of Punjab/Chandigarh UT– government, aided or private/self financed. The word count of the paper should be between 3000 to 5000 words. Paper may contains figures/charts/Table etc. Last date of submitting the paper is October15, 2016.
    Paper should be submitted through the Head of the school under Government registered/speed post only along with a token participating fee of Rs fifty per paper. Head of the school will forward all the papers of his/her school along with token fee as a single demand draft in favour of The Director, G A D Institute of Development Studies payable atAmritsar.
    Best ten paper writers will be invited to present their papers at the seminar. Two Best papers will be selected from the ten paper writers and presented at the seminar. Non presentation of the selected papers will amount to disqualification and have no claim to the award/participation. Certificate of participation will be awarded to all the participants. No award can be awarded depending upon the quality of the paper if the juries decide.
    There will be a Special Award for government school student’s paper writers. Three best government school paper writers will be invited to present their papers at the seminar.  Best Supporting teacher will be suitably rewarded. Decision of the jury will be final and cannot be challenged. Institute will not be responsible for any postal delay. For more detail/clarification or any query; please contact the institute
