Railways has taken measures to check misuse of ‘ Tatkal Scheme’ of reserving train tickets by agents.

According to an official release, Railways has decided to stop Quick Book Option and cash card booking between 8 AM to 9 AM and individual users are permitted to book only two tickets during this period.

During the first hour of opening of reservation in the morning, access to ‘Tatkal’ booking to the agents through internet has not been allowed.

Refund rules have also been made stringent to discourage frivolous and proxy bookings. Railways officials are conducting regular checks at Reservation Offices to check the activities of touts and other unscrupulous elements.
