Located in the heart of the city at Guindy, the 120 bed hospital boasts of BirthRight, an advanced perinatal centre which provides maternal and childcare services under one roof.

     

    The team’s 19 year experience in the field results in a specialized child friendly approach in design and program at Rainbow Children’s hospitals. A highly trained medical and paramedical team ensures round the clock emergency care, catering to the unique medical needs of children.

     

    The hospital was inaugurated by Shri M. Venkaiah Naidu ,His Excellency Hon’ble Vice President of India in the presence of the Shri Banwarilal Purohit Hon’ble Governor of Tamil Nadu, Shri D Jayakumar, Hon’ble Minister – Fisheries & Fisheries Development Corporation, Personnel & Administrative Reforms,(Training), Government of Tamil Nadu, Dr. C. Vijaya Bhaskar , Hon’ble Minister for Heath & Family Welfare, Government of Tamil Nadu,Dr.J.Jayavardhan, Hon’ble Minister of Parliament, South Chennai Constituency, Mr. Jeremy Pilmore-Bedford,  British Deputy High Commissioner, Chennai, Dr. J Radhakrishnan, The Principal Secretary, Health & Family Welfare Department of Tamil Nadu, Dr. Ramesh Kancharla, Chairman and Managing Director, Rainbow Group of Hospitals, and Dr. Dinesh Chirla, Director – Director Intensive Care Services, Rainbow Group of Hospitals.

     

    On this occasion, the former director of Institute of Child Health, Dr. S. Gopaul was felicitated by Hon’ble Vice President, Shri M Venkaiah Naidu, in recognition of his unparalleled contribution and exemplary services to neonatology as a teacher and a doctor.

     

    Speaking at the inaugural function, Hon’ble Vice President, Shri M Venkaiah Naidu, said: “It gives me immense pleasure to inaugurate Rainbow Children’s Hospital and BirthRight in Chennai.
