  • SVU College of Engineering First batch reunion happening 50years of graduation

    Tirupathi: What a wonderful memory to come back to same college that you studied after 50 years of graduation to re-live the memories, honour the teachers that taught you and to see the junior that are more like your grandchildren. SVU College of Engineering first batch students are meeting for a reunion in college campus to celebrate, remember and re-live the life on campus. All of them are accomplished people with a very strong second innings in their lives.

    The Engineering College campus is going to come live on Feb 19-20th 2014. SVUCE Hyderabad Alumni  (Suresh Perugu, Vice President Qison and Secretary from Hyderabad chapter) which is the most strong and  active group with the help of SVUCE Alumni Tirupati (Sesha Reddy GM TTD and Treasurer Tirupati Chapter) are helping the first batch to organize this in the campus.  Vice Chancellor W. Rajendra who is the most passionate person on campus for working with Alumni of SVU will be the chief Guest and Principal; Prof J Karthikeyan would like to make this as a regular event for all batches from first Batch.

    It will be a day of sharing the success with young students, interaction with them, facilitating the teachers and meeting friends. Recently the first batch sponsored the every year Hyderabad Chapter meeting on Oct 2nd  2013. During the re-union it is expected that the distinguished alumni in and around Tirupati is expected to attend the meeting.

    The main anchor of the first batch re-union Dr. CR Prasad is retired GAIL Chairman, who recently received a life time achievement award for the contribution in the field of Oil and Natural Gas Commission. Other recognised members are: gentleman who is responsible for developing and managing the three mints that print and make currency form our backyard; Mr Parakalan, A few professors who taught in same college; Prof GS Krishna Murthy, Late Prof G Ramprasad, Prof T Krishna Parandhama, and Prof MYA Baig; many engineers that worked in state and central governments as SEs and CEs; U Siva Rama Raju, M Siva Prasad Reddy and Neelakantappa, some served in services, a few entrepreneurs; Sam Venkatesan and Gangi Reddy, accomplished people in US; Prof Roshan and Dr. Bhavani Prasad.

    To quote an alumni from SVUCE Suresh Perugu (who worked in IBM US and Microsoft India) “ Dr Prasad is a humble person with great vision and highest passion for his alma matter’. Dr Prasad is the key member to bring the first batch Golden Jubilee alumni meet to Tirupati that is happening on Feb 19-20.
