  • Tatra controversy: CBI likely to quiz Ravi Rishi again

    New Delhi : CBI is likely to question Ravi Rishi, owner of the Vectra group, which is alleged to have offered a bribe to Army Chief General VK Singh for the supply of all terrain Tetra trucks to Indian Army.

    CBI had issued a restraint order against the London based businessman on Sunday. The order seek to prevent Rishi from moving out of the country.

    Rishi is currently in the national capital. CBI sources said a lookout notice has been issued against him and the probe agency has alerted  all airports and exit points to ensure that he does not leave the country.

    The agency is also likely to seek more details from the Army Chief in relation with his allegations that he was offered a bribe of 14 crore rupees by retired Lt. General Tejinder Singh for the purchase of the Tatra trucks.

    57-year-old Rishi, named as an accused in the agency’s FIR in alleged irregularities in purchase of Tatra trucks for the Army, has been questioned twice so far by the CBI.
