The condition of the ailing Shiv Sena chief Bal Thackeray was said to be critical but stable on Thursday night.  His health was reportedly worsening on Wednesday, but has started responding to treatment from Thursday night , sources said.

Meanwhile senior Sena  leader Sanjay Raut told media men that the 86-year-old leader was responding to treatment and had been taken off life support.
