Mumbai- The 2015 edition of The Indian Turf Invitation Cup Weekend, representing the best in racing, entertainment, food, style and glamour, will be held on the first weekend of March carrying forward a tradition that began in Mumbai 52 years ago. The races will include the Sprinters’ Cup and Stayers’ Cup on Saturday, and the main race, the Indian Turf Invitation Cup and Super Mile Cup on Sunday.

The 52-year-old Indian Turf Invitation Cup (ITIC) is a racing event unlike any other. While regular races take place in courses across the country, the Indian Turf Invitation Cup is special because it is among the few races where the cream of India’s racing fraternity – horses, jockeys, trainers and owners – come together for a spectacular weekend of action and adventure. At the event, each Turf Authority nominates a maximum of three top horses for each of the four invitational races of India – Invitation Cup, Sprinters’ Cup, Stayers’ Cup & Super Mile Cup. Only the very best horses are invited to participate making it a unique racing event
