  • Two lakh students to vie for Best Student

    New Delhi :  As many as 200,000 high school students will participate in the best student contest to be organised across 50 locations PAN India.

    The contest – third edition in the talent hunt series being organised by coaching class major Rao IIT – will be conducted on August 15 and 16 in Mumbai, Navi Mumbai, Thane, Pune, Nashik, Nagpur, Aurangabad, Akola, Solapur, Ahmedabad, Bengaluru, Chandigarh, Chennai, Delhi, Hyderabad, Indore, Jaipur, Kochi, Kolkatta, Lucknow, Patna, Ranchi, Rawatbhata, Silvasa, Vadodara, Vapi and Vishakhapatanam.

    Speaking on the contest, Mr. Vinay Kumar, CEO and MD Rao IIT Academy said:  “We are extremely pleased to see such an enthusiastic response.  The contest aims to enable the most deserving student to get to their goals of becoming Engineers or Doctors and Rao IIT Academy provides them a once in a lifetime opportunity.”

    The contest will be conducted in three stages:

    Stage 1: More than 200,000 students will be tested in Science, Mathematics, Logical Reasoning and Mental Ability.

    Stage 2: Top 100 students will be selected from Stage 1 and these students will be appearing in two separate tests by the end of August – Test 1 for Science and Mathematics and Test 2 for Logical Reasoning & Mental Ability.

    Stage 3: Top 30 Students from stage 2 will be selected for further   subjective test and personal interview to be conducted by eminent personalities from the fields of Science and Technology. The final ranks will be announced in September 2015 and the winners will be felicitated with prize money. 1st ranker will be felicitated with Rs.10 lacs, 2nd Ranker with Rs. 8 lacs and 3rd Ranker with Rs. 7 lacs respectively. Likewise, top 5 schools who will contribute the maximum talent to this contest will be felicitated with Rs 1 lac each.
