  • UP Police register FIRs in connection with poll related scuffle between SP & BSP candidate

    Up: The Uttar Pradesh Police has registered FIRs in connection with poll related scuffle between Samajwadi Party candidate Abdulla Azam and BSP candidate Nawab Kazim Ali Khan alias Naved Mian last night in Rampur.

    According to police, the incident occurred in Swar Tanda constituency of Rampur when Naved Mian and his son Hamza Mian and their supporters were allegedly attacked by Abdulla Azam and his supporters on some ongoing political disputes. Abdulla Azam is son of another SP candidate and state cabinet minister Azam Khan.

    Later senior district and police officers reached the spot and controlled the situation. Both Abdulla Azam and Naved Mian are candidates from swar tanda assembly constituency area and elections are already over in second phase of poll. FIRs have been registered against Abdulla Azam and Hamza Mian and their supporters.
