Two US drone strikes in the volatile tribal belt of northwest Pakistan have killed at least five suspected militants, officials said.
A drone fired two missiles at a moving vehicle in Ghorsaka area near Miranshah, the main town in North Waziristan Agency, killing three suspected militants .
The second drone attack a short while later targeted people who had gathered to retrieve bodies from the site of first the strike.
Two more suspected militants were killed in this attack, officials said.
In a separate incident, residents of Qambar Khel area of Khyber tribal region killed a militant while he was planting an explosive device at a mosque.
In yet another incident, a bomb disposal squad defused a 25-kg bomb planted along a road in Hangu district of Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa province.
Police in Hangu apprehended eight suspects during a search operation and seized narcotics and ammunition from their possession.
