  • US looking at reducing the healthcare costs through investment in medical innovation

    New Delhi: Council for American Medical Innovation’s (CAMI) has organised for a half day innovation symposium, Medical Innovation at a Crossroads: Choosing the Path Ahead. This event will examine how the U.S. can best foster investment in medical innovation so as to reduce the health care costs all while finding treatments and cures for the most devastating of diseases.

    Speakers at the meeting, who will present and help guide discussion, are U.S. Chief Technology Officer Aneesh Chopra, Assistant to the President and Associate Director for Technology, Office of Science & Technology Policy and CNN’s Dr. Fareed Zakaria,, Editor at Large of TIME, Washington Post columnist and New York Times bestselling author. Panel discussions on federal and state policy directions will include global business leaders, policymakers, economic strategists, academic scholars, and experts, all contributing to this urgent dialogue on how the U.S. can navigate current challenges and stay the course as a worldwide leader in medical innovation leading to reduced healthcare costs. An initiative by CAMI, this event will look at the most effective federal policy strategies supporting medical innovation so as a cornerstone for job creation, economic recovery and health security to all Americans.
