Haflong :  The president of Sixth Schedule Implementation Committee Bahim Chandra Langthasa appealed to all national and regional political parties as well as all the independent candidates who are going to contest in the ensuing Election to the 12th NC Hills Autonomous Council to consider the issue of the proposed draft of the constitution 123rd Amendment Bill on the sixth schedule in respective election manifesto.

In a press release issued on Monday he requested to give their opinion highlighting in respective election manifesto on the issue of the proposed draft of the constitution 123rd Amendment Bill on the sixth schedule in which certain objectionable clauses have been inserted, which urgently need to be rectified for the greater interest of the local people, upholding the main spirit of the sixth schedule as enshrined in the Indian Constitution.

Langthasa also appealed to all concern to keep in mind that the sixth schedule is constitutional right and it is ripe time to choose the dedicated leaders who have devoted to work for the cause of constitutional right.
