  • 16 students of CIT, Kokrajhar expelled for ragging

    Kokrajhar : Altogether 16 students of Central Institute of Technology (CIT), Kokrajhar have expelled from the Institute for one semester for allegedly indulging in ragging.

    Official sources in the Institute said on the basis of information received from different sources and subsequent verification of facts by the members of the anti-ragging committee and anti-ragging squad, a number of students have been found to be involved in ragging on the late evening of August 1 at Jwhwlao Dwimalu Boys’ hostel in CIT, Kokrajhar.

    These students were expelled from the Institute for one semester with immediate effect and are directed to vacate the hostel on Friday(August 3), the sources said. The expelled students are all final year students of B.Tech.
