  • 3 women cadres, 6 Maoist accomplices surrender in Odisha

    OdishaIn Odisha, three women Maoist cadres and six Maoist accomplices surrendered before police in Malkangiri district this morning. All of them surrendered before the superintendent of police of Malkangiri district.

    The surrendered Maoists said they wanted to join the mainstream as their life was always under threat. They said that they had joined CPI (Maoist) after they were told about alleged police torture of innocent tribals.

    The Maoists sought to join the mainstream after they found that their leaders were deviating from the Maoist ideology. Police said that all the surrendered Maoists will be suitably rehabilitated as per the government package.
