Tamil naduIn Tamil Nadu, the 45 day fishing ban imposed in the eastern part of the sea will come to an end tomorrow.

The 45 day fishing ban was imposed from April 15 in the eastern coast of Tamil Nadu, to ensure unhindered breeding of fish. With the fishing ban coming to an end tomorrow the fishermen of Nagapattinam, Rameswaram, Thoothukudi are busy mending their fishing nets and fuelling their fishing boats to get themselves ready for fishing. The fishermen were seen filling the boats with ice to store their fish catch. They expect a good catch of fish and this has brought back joy to all those who are connected with fishing activities. Meanwhile district collectors have warned the fishermen not to venture out of the international maritime border line to avoid confrontation with Sri Lankan Navy. The fishermen were also warned against using banned fishing nets which will destroy the sea wealth.
