A joint team of Army and police arrested nine cadres of the anti-talk faction of National Democratic Front of Bodoland (NDFB) along the Assam-Arunachal Pradesh border yesterday evening.

Defence Spokesperson Lt. Col. AP Khongsai said in Guwahati that these insurgents were returning to Assam after completing their training in Myanmar to carry out subversive activities. He said, an Ambush was established on their infiltration route and all nine cadres were nabbed. He said the operation also resulted in recovery of weapons including AK -47, AK- 56, pistols and various other ammunitions.
