CBI files chargesheet in Ishrat Jahan encounter case

CBI on Wednesday said that the 2004 Ishrat Jahan encounter was fake. CBI today filed chargesheet in the case.
In its charge sheet, CBI contended that encounter was a joint operation between Gujarat police and Subsidiary Intelligence Bureau, SIB.
The investigating agency further said that offence has been established against ADGP P P Pandey, suspended police officers D G Vanzara, G L Singhal, Tarun Barot, N K Amin and Anaju Chaudhary,J G Parmar.
It said that investigation is on against Special Director of the Intelligence Bureau Rajinder Kumar and four officers of the agency.
