  • PM Mudra Yojana provides ease of doing business in Telangana

    New Delhi ; Ease of Business has become a common ground for thousands of vendors and small businesspersons in Telangana ever since the Prime Minister Mudra Yojana has been launched.

     

    Over 4.7 lakh persons have got easy- loans ranging from Rs. 40,000 to Rs. 5 lakhs during the past 14 months.

     

    Mudra Bank Assistant General Manager PSN Murthy told AIR Correspondent that the public sector banks in Telangana state put together disbursed Rs. 3,694 crore under the Prime Minister Mudra Yojana. These include Sishu, Kishore and Tarun plans.

     

    She says the Mudra Yojana infused confidence besides hassles-free loans among these entrepreneurs.

     

    AIR correspondent reports, the Prime Minister Mudra Yojana is not only offering surety-free loans to thousands of youngsters especially women who wanted to do ‘something’ for their daily earnings, but also infusing confidence that they can prove themselves as successful entrepreneurs. I spoke to several such budding businesspersons who took Mudra laons in and around Hyderabad.

     

    Vanisree, a mother of two children and resident of Ghatkeshar in Ranga Reddy District got Rs. one lakh as loan without any surety.

     

    She got her loan in just a week’s time and started repaying as her sadi business began fetching profits.

     

    Satish, a Computer Science Graduate, who helped his wife Shalini in taking a loan of Rs. 50,000 under the Shishu plan, says it immensely helped their business.

     

    Kiran Yadav, an ITI certificate holder, has got a loan under Mudra Yojana and expanded his Internet Café business without looking for a job under someone.

     

    The State Bank of Hyderabad, the lead bank in Telangana has also developed a simple and single document process for loan seekers under Sishu plan.

     

    The State Level Bankers Committee Convenor Thyagarajan also suggests further improvement in the Scheme so that both loan seekers and banks benefit.

     

    Easy access to banks and quick and simple processes infuse confidence among these youngsters that they can flourish on their own.
