Guwahati :  In a big development, the main accused in the Shweta Agarwal Murder Case, Govind Singhal, got bail on Thursday at the Gauhati High Court. Govind Singhal had allegedly murdered Shweta Agarwal and had tried to set her on fire later. A special hearing on the case is going on at a Fast Track Court set up in the Kamrup Session Court. Meanwhile, the granting of bail to Shweta Agarwal’s alleged murderer at a time when a fast track court has been set up has led to much criticism from the family members and friends of deceased Shweta Agarwal. Earlier the Gauhati High Court had quashed the bail petition of the main accused Govind Singhal but had granted bail to the mother and the sister of the main accused.
