Adult JE vaccination campaign starts in Kokrajhar

Kokrajhar: Adult Japanese encephalitis (JE) vaccination campaign starts in Kokrajhar District from today.
The campaign was ceremonially launched at a programme held at Balajan Tinali Public Health Centre in the 
district. Bodoland Territorial Council (BTC) executive member Doneswar Goyary attended the function and inaugurated the programme in the presence of Dr.D.Hojai, Director of Health Services Assam, BTC Principal Secretary Robinson Mushahary, Mission Director Assam Dr.Lakshmanan S among others.
A total 6,10,837 (six lakhs ten thousands eight hundred and thirty seven) individuals in Kokrajhar district in the age group of 15 to 65 years will be given Adult Japanese encephalitis (JE) vaccination. The vaccination campaign will continue till 31st March 2020 and will cover all the villages in the district.
