Guwahati : Congress leader Rahul Gandhi today launched his election campaign in Dibrugarh, Assam. In the meantime, he said that if our government comes, we guarantee that the Citizenship Amendment Act will not be implemented. In addition, he said that his government in Assam will provide employment to 5 lakh people. He also promised that 200 units of electricity would be free on getting power. Will give Rs. 2,000 to every housewife. Rahul said that we have made our manifesto by talking to the people of Assam and not in closed rooms. In the meantime, he was speaking to the students at Lahowal in Dibrugarh. He attacked the RSS without naming it. At the same time, issues like unemployment, CAA and kisan agitation were raised.

Rahul Gandhi will meet the labourers at the tea plantation at Dinjoy in Chhabua today. He will also address a public meeting in Tinsukia. Congress general secretary Priyanka Gandhi has visited Assam a few days ago. During that, his photograph was very viral while breaking the tea leaves in the plantation. Rahul Gandhi spoke, ” If you think democracy is being denied. Youth youth are unemployed. The farmers are performing and the CAA is coming. The people of Assam should not forget their culture and language after going to Delhi. An army born in Nagpur is controlling the entire country. Democracy means assam should be controlled by the voice of Assam.

If we do not include students, there cannot be democracy. The youth should actively come into politics and fight for Assam. When you feel that your kingdom is being looted, you should fight war, but not with love, with sticks and stones. Rahul Gandhi said that the BJP had promised to provide 351 rupees wages to the tea plantation workers but they are getting Rs. 167. I am not Narendra Modi. I don’t lie. Today, I guarantee you five promises. If our government is formed, we will administer Rs. 365 to the tea plantation workers. will stand against the CAA. Will create five lakh job opportunities. 200 units will give electricity free and two thousand rupees will be given to domestic women. 

Rahul Gandhi said that for the tea industry, we will create a special ministry which will resolve your issues. Our manifesto has been made after consultation with the tea business people. It was not prepared by the people sitting behind closed doors. Referring indirectly to the RSS, the Congress leader said, “A force in Nagpur is trying to control the country, but the youth have to stop this effort with love and confidence because they are the future of the country. Rahul Gandhi, who visited Assam on a two-day visit, is scheduled to issue the party’s manifesto on Saturday for elections in the state.
