In Arunachal Pradesh, Chief Minister Pema Khandu inaugurated a new dialysis unit at Khandro Drowa Tsangmu district Hospital in Tawang today.

The dialysis unit has been started under Prime minister’s national dialysis programme (PMNDP) and has a capacity of treating five patients at a time.

This dialysis unit will cater free of cost service to the people and will cover two districts, West Kameng and Tawang.

According to a report, till now 27 patients have lost their lives due to renal failure and lack of dialysis unit in Tawang alone.
