Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal today ordered a high level enquiry into the tragic incident of boat capsize in Brahmaputra River at Guwahati. Additional Chief Secretary Jishnu Baruah has been directed by the chief minister to conduct a thorough investigation into the incident. The Additional Chief Secretary been directed to investigate into the reasons responsible for the boat capsize and the factors triggering the mishap and submit report at the earliest. It is to be mentioned, a machine operated country boat, travelling from Fancy bazaar to Madhyam Khanda ghat in North Guwahati, capsized today. Expressing deep concern over the tragic incident, the chief minister ordered an enquiry for identifying the reasons for the accident.
