    Jorhat: The Assam Valley School, Balipara was adjudged with best team award while HHMI, Jorhat turns second best in the 5th Inter-School debate competition that was organized by HHMI Alumni Association at the school auditorium here today.

     

    All together 22 teams from all over the state took part in the debate competition in which Assam Valley School team was adjudged best, the team members were Aryan Katvwala, Shagun Agarwal, Aarav Jain, Nibuj Dhakal while teacher incharge was Rubina Rikhye . They received trophy, memento and cash award while the second best team received trophy, memento and cash.

     

    On the other hand Shagun Agarwal (AVS) was adjudged with best debator in Hindi while Saraswati Bopnos from HHMI received the best debater award in English. The state level debate competition was swiftly conducted and judged by Prof Yasmin Khan from CKB College Teok, Bhawana Rishi from Army Public School, Jorhat while Shrad Agarwal from Jorhat. The competition was chaired by Yasmin Haye, an educationist from Jorhat which was organized by HHMI Alumni Association as the vote of the thanks was read out by the secretary of the organization Jugal Bajaj. The prizes were given away by Alumni and the executive members from the Association Smita Addy Bhattacharyya, Brijesh Poddar, Medini Kamal Bora, Rajendra Singh Bhamra, ramesh Agarwal, said organizers here today.
