Basant Panchmi is being celebrated with traditional enthusiasm and religious fervor. People are performing worship of goddess of wisdom Saraswati. Several cultural and religious functions are being organized across the country on the occasion of Basant Panchmi. In Madhya Pradesh, cultural programmes are being held in educational and cultural institutions in Bhopal. Janeyu, Upnayan, Diksha and other sanskars are also being performed on this occasion. In Dhar, a three day Bhoj Utsav is being organized in Bhoj Shala. Elaborate security arrangements have been made at this sensitive place to prevent any untoward incident.
