  • Bill leads students to boycott classes in Jorhat

    Jorhat : Along with the rest of the state of Assam in Jorhat too protest against the controversial Bill irked college students to boycott classes and to sit for indefinite protest in the middle of the road and even blocked the KKBarooah road that connects the AT Road via KK Barooah road to Borpatra Ali which created heavy traffic snarls, while students of Jorhat College and CKB College sat for indefinite protest in front of their college shouting slogans PM Narendra Modi, CM Sarbananda Sonowal and even against the BJP and RSS for misleading and cheating the indigenous Assamese people. Later Jorhat district unit of AASU, AJYCP, KMSS, and Bar Association members convened a close door meeting at an undisclosed college premises and took up resolution to organize various agitational program to pressurize the government to stop implementation of the most controversial Bill for which the peace living state of Assam is under boil since past couple of weeks, said Ritul Pathak, president of Jorhat district AJYCP unit here today.

     

    The situation is all just because of our backboneless BJP leaders who does not have any quality of becoming political leader after shouting for the greater interest of the state and now this leaders shouting for their vested interest who should be boycotted by the people of Assam for the greater interest of the state which is most unfortunate in the history for the indigenous Assamese society, said Bhobo Chetia, a senior citizen and social activist from the district.
