  • Campaigning for Assembly Elections in Haryana, Maharashtra reaches peak; Rajnath Singh accuses Congress of internationalising Kashmir issue

    Senior BJP leader Rajnath Singh has accused Congress of internationalising the Kashmir issue. He addressed three election rallies today at Bawani Khera, Tosham and Mahendragarh assembly constituencies. Speaking at Bawani Khera, Mr Singh said Congress leaders recently met British Labour Party leader Jeremy Corbyn in London and held a discussion on the issue of alleged human rights violations in Kashmir.

    He said Kashmir is an internal matter of the country. The Minister said human rights violations are taking place due to terrorist activities in Kashmir.

    In Maharashtra, with just three days left for campaigning to on Oct 21, leaders across the political spectrum are crisscrossing the state to reach out to the electorates. Political campaigns have intensified and prominent leaders and workers are holding rallies, press conferences and public meetings to woo the voters.

    Campaigning will end on the evening of Oct 19. There are 288 assembly seats in the state and there’s a direct fight between BJP-Shiv Sena and Congress-NCP.
