  • Chhattisgarh to celebrate its glorious achievements on fifteenth Foundation Day with ‘Chhattisgarh Rajyotsava – 2014’

    New Delhi : One of the youngest and vibrant states of the country, Chhattisgarh celebrates its fifteenth Foundation Day on November 1, 2014. A three day event from November 1st to 3rd, Chhattisgarh2014 will mark a gala commemoration of Chhattisgarh’s inception with the ‘Chhattisgarh Rajyotsava – 2014’ at Naya Raipur. ‘Parab Chhattisgarh’ will be the Cultural theme of ‘Chhattisgarh Rajyotsava – 2014’ and will showcase varied traditional and cultural heritage of the state spread across three days. The event will bring together varied successful flavours of the state onto a common platform inviting visitors from across the globe to experience the best of Chhattisgarh. The three day festival, expect to witness a cultural razzmatazz that will include cultural representations by renowned artists from Manipur, Maharashtra, Andhra Pradesh, Haryana, West Bengal, Delhi and various other states.

    ‘Parab Chhattisgarh’, a mélange of cultural presentation of the varied ethnic and tribal traditions of the state will open with a traditional dance presentation that will see representation of local artists from over 35 tribes on November 1 2014. The event will see a culmination of celebrations via a traditional instruments featured musical concert by nearly 200 artists curated from all across the state on November 3. The event will also see commendations being bestowed on notable personalities who will be awarded with ‘Chhattisgarh State Honours-2014’.

    The celebration will bring together various cultural constituents of the state which will be showcased in a melange of traditional and modern presentation. Rang Chhattisgarh, a vibrant cultural presentation will include varied colours of the state’s songs, dance and culture showcasing the tenet of ‘Unity in Diversity’. Performers from various tribes of the state including Karma, Sela, Ghasiya, Sarhul, Pahari Korva, Bheratmadiya, Gaura, Raut-Nacha, Rahas along with 25 other tribes will come together to showcase renditions of local dance, music and musical instruments to regale the audiences. Apart from the same, the presentation will also have a traditional Tibetan dance performance developed by native Tibetan living in the state for nearly fifty years.

    While local performances will be the headliners in Chhattisgarh Rajyotsava – 2014, cultural performances from other states will also add spice to the occasion. Some of the breathtaking performances to include various art, dance and cultural presentations by renowned artists from Manipur, Maharashtra, Andhra Pradesh, Haryana, West Bengal, Delhi and various other states.

    A group of twenty-five performers from Kohlapur seeks to spread the message of patriotism and brotherhood across the country by their presentation named ‘Jaago Hindustani’ via a musical and dance journey based on songs from Hindi films. This song-dance-light and instrumental presentation will awaken the Indian in the viewers and inspire them to work towards the greater good of the country. To be presented by the awe-inspiring Ability Unlimited group, Ability Unlimited, a special performance seeks to inspire audiences in understanding the fact that disability is no impediment to success. The program via amazing dance performances in various measures like teachings of Swami Vivekananda, Bharatanatyam, Yoga, Martial Arts, Bhagvat Gita and Sufi Dance, will seek to portray that disability cannot stop one from achieving desired goals in life. Via a never-seen before presentation, Hyderabad based Sand Artist Shri Kant Risha will showcase various forms of art done on minutely ground glass shards that reflect light through stunning Chhattisgarh in every speck presentation. Throwing varied reflections on background, the artist will showcase various images relative to Chhattisgarh and reflect the great tradition and culture of the state.

    A land of various cultures and traditions, Chhattisgarh is resplendent in various music and art forms. A land that boasts of various musical instruments including beat instruments, sound instruments and wire instruments is perfectly reflected via the Naad Chhattisgarh presentation. The programme will bring together all of Chhattisgarhi musical instruments on a single platform and will showcase to the audience various instruments used by tribes like Dandami Madiya, Dorla, Mahara, Ghotul-Muriya, Raja-Muriya, Satnami, Kabeer Panthi, Urav, Ghasiya and Raigarh Kathak Gharana.
