  • Coast Guard commissions state- of- the- art interceptor boat today

    The Indian Coast Guard Ship C-153 will be commissioned at Porbandar today to enhance security along the Gujarat coast.

    A Defence Ministry statement said in New Delhi that Vice Admiral Anil Chopra will commission the last and eleventh interception boat built by the ABG Shipyard for the Coast Guard. The boat will be deployed at Veraval Port after induction.

    The interceptor boat C 153 is fitted with the latest state-of-the-art navigation, communication equipment and armament making it an ideal platform for close coastal operations.

    With this, the Indian Coast Guard will have 42 stations and 15 Air units functioning at various strategic locations along the coastline.
