Congress has demanded resignation of Chhattisgarh Chief Minister, Raman Singh in the wake of naxal attack on party leaders in Bastar region. Briefing reporters in New Delhi today, party spokesperson Bhakta Charan Das said, the incident happened due to irresponsible attitude of the state government and the Chief Minister should take moral responsibility.

He alleged that a few days before BJP had Vikas Yatra in the same region with a security cover of three thousand police personal, while, the Congress leaders were not given required security cover during their Parivartan Yatra. Mr. Das wanted to know from the Chhattisgarh government about the measures taken by it to combat such brutal activities so far.

Terming the incident as a criminal act by the Naxalites, he said that responsibility has to be fixed for this unfortunate incident.
