  • “Decision to chose Indian partner was solely of Dassault Aviation”, French government clarifies on Rafale Deal

    The government of France and Dassault Avaiation Company have come out with comprehensive statements on the Rafael Fighter jet deal.

    The French government in a statement has clarified that it had no role in selecting the Indian partner for the company.

    The decision was solely of the Dassault Company. Dassault on its part has backed the French government’s statement.

    In its statement, the company has clarified that the deicsion to chose an India Partner was solely of the company and the government had no role in the decision.

    Earlier, the Ministry of Defence had reiterated that neither the Indian government  nor the French government had any say in the commercial decision of Dassault aviation in selecting an offset partner.

    In a tweet, the spokesperson for the Defence ministry said that  it is verifying the claim of former French president Francois Hollande’s in a report that India insisted upon a particular firm as offset partner for the Dassault Aviation in Rafale.
