  • Delhi court sends two alleged ISIS sympathisers to 10-day NIA custody

    Published on August 14, 2018

A Delhi court has sent two alleged sympathisers of the Islamic State terror group, arrested from Hyderabad, to the custody of the National Investigation Agency (NIA) for 10 days.

They have been sent to NIA custody in a case of allegedly radicalising Indian youngsters for carrying out terror strikes on behalf of the banned international outfit.

The agency had produced the accused before District Judge Poonam Bamba yesterday and sought a 15-day remand for custodial interrogation.

The NIA is probing the case since 2016 where it is alleged that the members of ISIS were involved in a conspiracy to identify, radicalise, recruit and train Indian Muslim youths to carry out terror activities.
