fishermanIn Tamil Nadu, storm warning signal No 1 which was hoisted in Nagapattinam, Cuddalore and Pamban ports have been withdrawn. Our correspondent reports that the storm warning signals were issued because of deep depression over the Bay of Bengal and the district administration had warned fishermen not to venture out into the deep seas for fishing. The Chennai Met office said that the deep depression has weakened and the storm warning was removed. This has boosted the spirits of Tamil Nadu fishermen who were getting ready to resume fishing activities. With the 45 day ban on fishing ending yesterday, the fishermen of Nagapattinam had ventured out into the sea last midnight. Rameswaram fishermen will be venturing into the sea tomorrow and they have been warned not to cross the international maritime border line.
