Haflong : In a devastating fire incident one girl named Abrotha Phonglo aged 17 years daughter of Shri Boldao Phonglo of Dijambra burnt alive while dwelling houses Gobindro Hojai and Mairon Nunisa reduced to ashes yesterday at Dihur Phonglo  in Maibang. 

According to sources the fire broke out at about 7 pm and the fire was so strong that nothing could be saved and the loss estimated as of several lakhs. The cause of fire could not be ascertained yet. The deceased was student of Class VI of Maibangkro ME School. 

Meanwhile the District Disaster Management authority took the stock of the loss and provided some relief to both the house owners.

Sri Ratan Jarambusa and Bijit Langthasa, MACs of N C hills Autonomous Council visited the victim families and assured to extend every possible helps to them.
