Haflong : The Bharatiya Janata Party nominated candidate for 3 – Autonomous District Parliamentary Constituency Sri Horen sing Bey started his election campaign by holding series of meetings in Dima Hasao from Tuesday.

Bey along with MLA, Dr Numol Mumin, MLA, Dr Mansing Rongpi, former MLA Bidyasing Engleng, MLA, B B Hagjer Chief Executive Member N C Hills Autonomous Council Debolal Gorlosa, District BJP president, Nipolal Hojai and others attended the meeting at Diyungbra, Hadingma, Haflong on Tuesday and at Dihamlai and Mahur on Wednesday wherein hundreds of people from various parts of the locality also took part in meeting.

All the speakers criticised the sitting MP Birensing Engti for doing nothing for the people of Dima Hasao though he has been the MP for a long time. They also said that during his tenure as the MP, he did not raise any issue in relation to the development of both the districts.

However, Bey assured the people of Dima Hasao that he would spend at least seven days in a month in Dima Hasao and try to do whatever possible for the people of Dima Hasao if they voted him to the power.

On Thursday also meetings at Maibang and Khepre was held wherein Sri Horen Sing Bey appealed to the people to give him an opportunity to serve them as their MP because earlier no MP though voted by these people never meet them.
