    Kokrajhar : The District Disaster Management Authority in collaboration with Assam State Disaster Management Authority is organising Kokrajhar Emergency Management Exercise from 25th February to 28th February with an aim to reinforce incident response preparedness by working through a specific scenario highlighting the vulnerability of Kokrajhar town.

    Briefing media persons, Kokrajhar Additional Deputy Commissioner and District Disaster Management Authority chief executive officer Debeswar Boro said it is a simulation exercise aimed to test strengths and capabilities of disaster response involving all stakeholders working in the related field to assess the town disaster preparedness and resilience.

    Bora said the mega event is a rigorous four daylong event with five parallel training tracks to e held at different venue for the first two days (25th and 26th February 2020) followed by a table top exercise on the third day (27th February 2020) and a filed/simulation drill on the fourth day (28th February 2020). A debriefing session called “Hot wash” shall also be incorporated into the mega event on the last day.
