Haflong  : The First round of Dehangi Angling tournament concludes with great enthusiasm on Friday.

As many as 150 anglers from various parts of dima hasao and other places took part in the tournament

The tournament was aimed for promotion of conservative angling with rod and reel, boosting tourism and engagement of youths in the field of self-employment through adventure sports like water rafting and angling in the region, the three mega monthly angling tournament at Dehangi.

The prizes were bagged by anglers from Moulhoi, Lodi and lower Haflong, and successful anglers were given First,Second and Third.

1st Winner: Shri Lalhmasawn Inboun of Moulhoi, Haflong with Cash Prize of Rs. 50,000/-

2nd Winner:Shri Silas Pame of Lodi, Haflong with Cash Prize of Rs.30,000/-

3rd Winner:Shri Robison Sangma of Lower Haflong with Cash Prize of Rs. 20,000/-

 

Under the initiative of Shri Debolal Gorlosa, Chief Executive Member, N C Hills Autonomous Council, Dima Hasao, with the motto of “CAST FOR A CAUSE”, three mega angling tournament in a row i.e. monthly has been organised on July 26, August 24 and September 14.

 

The Chief Executive Member, N C Hills Autonomous Council, Dima Hasao, in the prize distribution ceremony appealed to all the anglers and people to take part in the second and third round of the mega event as this will me more interesting and attractive.

The prize giving ceremony which was held at dehangi bazaar was attened by nipolal hojai EM, Devojit bathari EM, Golongo thousen EM, NOjit keprai MAC, Monojit naiding MAC,Dr. Sorbojit thousen, CCF, M.tungnung and others.
