Maharashtra Governor Bhagat Singh Koshyari today used a commercial aircraft to fly to Dehradun after he was informed that the permission for use of the state government aircraft had not been received. Raj Bhavan said that the Governor’s secretariat had written to the state government on 2nd February seeking permission for the use of government aircraft. 

The state government accepted that it had received such a request. However, it added that as per the rules, permission is sought before boarding a government aircraft and the aircraft is made available only after approval. The statement further said according to this, the Chief Minister’s Secretariat had sent a message yesterday that the use of aircraft has not been approved yet. 

It added that, however, without ensuring the availability of the aircraft, the concerned officials of Raj Bhavan took the Governor to board the flight, due to which he could not go to the desired place by the state government plane.
