  • Haflong Range Office of Soil Conservation Department is in shambles

    Believe it or not but it is true that there was an office located at the heart of Haflong Town with at least 15 staffs that remains defunct for days  after days.

    This was not the allegation of the public only but it was the allegation of a Muster Roll Staff who did not get his salary for the last 18 months and 28 years of his service is also yet to be regularised.

    Sri Dibeswar Kachari the Muster Roll employee Haflong Range Office of Soil Conservation Department, the only employee who has been attending the office regularly but without payment of his salary for last 18 months. Talking to this correspondent his wife also regretted the non-payment of salary of her husband following which they had stopped sending their children to go school and colleges. It has become a matter of concern that a person after attending his office regularly getting no salary where as there are 15 staffs getting their salaries without attending the office for days after days.

    They also said that the Range officer and high officials of the Soil Conservation department even after making promises to regularise his service but could not regularise for the reasons best known to the officials concerned.
