  • Hearing put off in Babri case, next date is on 26th Oct

    Published on October 5, 2010

Hearing in the Babri mosque demolition case was on Tuesday deferred as the notification for nomination of a judge is still to be issued by the Allahabad High Court.

“The matter was not taken up today as a notification regarding nomination of magistrate is yet to be issued by the High Court,” prosecution sources said.

The next hearing would take place on 26th October, they said.

The special CBI court hearing Babri demolition case is lying vacant after transfer of Chief Judicial Magistrate Gulab Singh, they said.

District Judge had written a letter to the High Court requesting to nominate a judge in the special court, sources said.
